What is the reward of Excellence – except Excellence

The mission of the Wazania Academy is to train young European women with a traditionally based scholastic education, ensuring the holistic formation of their characters and intellectual and spiritual capacities. The nurturing of a whole person and training them in the pursuit of excellence of personal and intellectual conduct are the very foundations upon which our Academy is built, for the Prophet, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him, said, “I came to perfect good character.”. This is exemplified in the Arabic word Futuwwa – embodying the values of courtesy, service, nobility, patience, obedience to authority, selflessness, courage, sensitivity to beauty, truthful speech, loyalty and generosity.

We understand that this is in reality the primal education, the basis upon which all academic education has to be built. Its basis is the Noble Quran and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him infinite peace. The inclusion of other academic subjects ensures that we may produce young women who are capable of transmitting this noble Din and who will be indigenous examples in their home countries, able to empathise with the difficulties faced by young Muslim women in a European context, whilst themselves embodying the prophetic transmission of Islam. This education will take place in Morocco providing a cultural and educational experience that ensures them an experience of continuity and connection to the wider Muslim Ummah.
